- IBAMA (Brazilian Forestry Ministry) has decreed that a single document is all that is needed for legal export of timber. That single document has caused all kinds of havoc and is under serious fire as a short sighted regulation.
- Also, actual terrorists are now banning logging in addition to single use plastics. Eco-Terrorist is now a very literal term.
- China has signed legislation to protect its forests for the first time
