Shannon’s Lumber Industry once was a segment on a podcast called WoodTalk. When WoodTalk hung up the podcasting gloves, the public outcry for Shannon to continue the Lumber update as a spinoff show was so strong that the National Guard had to get involved. So rather than cause an international incident this show became a thing.
Your host, Shannon Rogers is a woodworker and wood nerd. He loves wood so much he took a job as the Director of Marketing for one of the oldest lumber companies in the US, J. Gibson McIlvain. By day Shannon is surrounded by millions of board feet of lumber working with contractors, builders and architects. By night he barricades himself in his own wood shop and runs an online woodworking school devoted to hand tools called appropriately enough called The Hand Tool School.
