Wood Moves, Get over It

You can't stop it but you can slow it and you can restrict it. Most importantly you just need to build to compensate for wood movement. Don't be afraid of it, embrace it. This week I cover the basics of wood movement and will dive into specific examples in an upcoming episode with your questions.

    Hi,

Regarding your question on rainbow poplar from Joel in Finland. If he has a bog poplar log in Finland, I expect he is referring to a true poplar (Populus), and not a yellow or tulip poplar (Liriodendron). The latter only grows in eastern North America, with no relatives in Europe.

Maybe that would explain the difference in the rainbow colour development?
